The Aston Martin DB9: The exclusive Grand Tourer

According to Ian Callum designed the Aston Martin DB7 fine style in 1993, few thought could never be improved. However, with the launch of the new Aston Martin DB9 in 2004, it seemed that Callum has achieved the impossible, and improvement perfection. That would be the car that took Aston in the 21st century face to face with rivals Ferrari and Porsche.

The DB9 is powered by 6-liter 450bhp V12 engine that was originally used in many Big Brother DB9 Aston Martin Vanquish S. If they had followed the normal procedure of the new Aston should have been called DB8, Aston but he wanted to show this car was an important step forward and not only the evolution of Aging and the DB7. In addition, it is feared that the nickname DB8 cause some prospective buyers to believe that the new model was powered by a V8 only humble, so instead of the title DB9 was used.

The design and construction of the DB9 was much Astons advanced than before, with the chassis and body made from a combination of aluminum and composite materials. This gave the DB9 structural rigidity while maintaining the weight low overall, which the DB9 can accelerate to 60 in just 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 186 km per hour.

Compared the flagship Vanquish S, the DB9 has been much stronger external lines with the general form looking much smaller than their older brother. Neat touches like recessed door handles and only fine bulbs LED 501 in the bright lights are added to those of an elegant and modern. The interior of the DB9 has continued the modern touch aluminum polished light wood and even a glass starter button crystal.

To further assist the DB9 in competition with strong opposition in the shape of the Porsche 997 Turbo and Ferrari F430, a new sport package was introduced in 2006. Although the ride height has been reduced and improved damping rates, Aston also improves the overall structural rigidity and tried to reduce unsprung weight with tires 19 inch light alloy of aluminum and nuts Wheel of titanium.

Aston has recently published a more powerful, lighter skinned and DB9 called deep brain stimulation. Despite being used as a vehicle for the company of James Bond in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, the new flagship Aston body kit has been criticized because of the addition a striking body kit. Critics say that interrupts the clean lines of the original, which just goes to show how difficult it is to improve perfection.
