HOW WHERE CARS MADE IN THE 1930S?

hi i'm doing a project on porsche and i need to know How were vehicles built in the first few years in operation compared to today? (E.g. engine design and components, suspension, wheels, tires, brakes, body, production.) please and thank you!

When Ferdinand Porsche worked for other companies in the 1930s, he designed them for mass production and assembly line techniques.
And example was the Kubelwagen, considered the first VW.
It used a technique known as "unit repair" to make construction and maintenance easier.
There were 5 main basic units that went into the car.
The whole front suspension, the chassis, body, transaxle, and engine.
All of these were made independently to generic specs, and could easily then be assembled, disassembled, or interchanged.
The idea was not just to make production faster, but so that when something broke or was damaged, the whole unit would be replace with an exchange unit quickly, and the actual unit slowly repaired later.
To this day, a person rated for engine, transaxle, or front suspension, is known as a "unit repair" specialist at VW.
