What's the beef between Ford and Chevy owners?
Neither of these brand names is world class in terms of quality, resale, etc. Time and time again, the American auotmotive industry has shown that short-term thinking combined with greed is a real kicker in the pants(and the major stockholders raped the coffers for YEARS, instead of doing serious R&D like Toyota, Porsche, BMW, etc)
Brainless managment was like the people more interested in a golf game and buying up other car companies instead of focusing on PRODUCT. A senior manager stated at Ford:"roof strength is not important in rollover situations..." Really? Why not make them with paper mache'. New independent suspension on those Explorers...because when you have a blow-out on the previous model, it flips its wig...Nice design...worked on the Model-T, but not so good now.
In a world where the equivalent of prime rib is available in automotive terms, I only see these two brands as the difference between a quarter-pounder/cheese, and a Big-Mac
Well, you're surely entitled to an opinion, but it looks like you asked a question and then answered it, more of a statement than a question.
But there is no beef between Ford and Chevrolet owners. I do wish the Ford owners would wake up and realize Chevy rules though. (I take in a lot of Fords to be fixed using my Chevrolet tow truck.)
