What exactly are "Driving Shoes?"?

I own a pair of Adidas Porsche Design, and will be purchasing the Adidas Goodyear FS. I bought them because they look sweet. They're both classified as "driving shoes."

Generally, driving shoes have a thinner sole for good pedal feel. Not great for walking , but good for more precise throttle/clutch/brake operation.
